S.O.S. stands for Sport-specific Off Season
training but more often is a call
for help. With S.O.S.
an athlete can build confidence and
learn the value of hard work!
In this day and age of
competitive sports, gaining and
keeping the competitive edge is
about becoming bigger, stronger and
faster! FACTS Fitness offers
S.O.S. to the athlete trying to take his or
her performance to the next level...from poor to fair,
fair to good and good to great. With
hard work and commitment, there are
some who will go from poor to great.

S.O.S. is a sport-specific training program for athletes of any age and fitness level that will to take their performance to the next level. The program works on enhancing
speed, explosiveness,
agility, strength, power,
coordination, and endurance.
For each group of athletes, our
world class team of fitness trainers
designs a dynamic series of training
sessions aimed at maximizing the
participants' athleticism through
core strengthening, Olympic-style
power lifting, plyometric training,
and aerobic and anaerobic
conditioning. The result is an
athlete with better endurance,
balance, explosiveness, power, and
core strength, which is instrumental
in minimizing the risk of sports
injuries.
Upon
completing the
S.O.S. program, one can
expect to see an improvements in
vertical jump,
40 yard dash time,
and bench press and squat abilities,
not to mention improved agility,
flexibility, first step quickness,
reaction time, and hand-eye
coordination, Creativity and
functionality are key elements of
the S.O.S. program. Our world class
team of fitness trainers will
carefully construct a series of
neuromuscular reactive training
techniques combined with isotonic,
isometric, and isokinetic movements,
utilizing agility ladders, hurdles,
and bosu balance trainers. |
- 60-minute sessions led by a
certified and degreed trainer
with a group of athletes.
- Program designed to improve
body awareness, speed, footwork,
coordination, agility,
flexibility, strength, and
balance.
- Consultation and instruction
with coaches and/or physical
education department
- Explanation of proper and
efficient training aimed at
improving an athlete’s
performance, and minimizing risk
of injury.
- Sessions will vary by group
(based on the demands of the
specific sport), but all
sessions will involve the
following:
o Plyometrics
o Strength Training
o Cardio Training
o Pilates and Yoga
o Use of resistance bands, bosu,
and agility ladders
